Robert Lewis Reid was an American Impressionist and decorative muralist associated with The Ten, the group of painters who broke from the Society of American Artists in 1897 to exhibit independently. Born in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, he trained at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Art Students League in New York, and the Académie Julian in Paris.
