Fritz Karfve — Swedish, 1880–1939 — Swedish Late Impressionism
Fritz Karfve was a Swedish painter associated with the generation that absorbed French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist influences into a distinctly Nordic idiom. Trained in Stockholm and active primarily in the early decades of the twentieth century, he worked across portraiture, figure compositions, and landscape, often depicting domestic interiors and coastal scenes.
