Robert Bevan — British, 1865–1925 — Camden Town Group / Post-Impressionism
Robert Bevan was a British painter associated with the Camden Town Group, which he helped found in 1911 alongside Walter Sickert, Spencer Gore, and Harold Gilman. Trained at the Westminster School of Art and later in Paris, he worked at Pont-Aven in the early 1890s, where contact with Gauguin shaped his approach to flat color planes and firm contour.
