Soren Christian Bjulf — Danish, 1890–1958 — Danish Modernism
Søren Christian Bjulf was a Danish painter known primarily for his depictions of Copenhagen street life, harbor scenes, and the city's working-class districts. Working in the first half of the twentieth century, he developed a loose, painterly style that captured the rhythms of Nyhavn, market squares, and waterfront taverns, often rendered in subdued tonalities animated by passages of brighter color.
