Eugene De Blaas — Italian, 1843–1932 — Italian Academic Realism
Eugene de Blaas, also known as Eugenio de Blaas, was an Italian academic painter celebrated for his depictions of Venetian life. Born in Albano Laziale to Austrian parents, he trained under his father, the painter Karl von Blaas, and spent most of his working life in Venice, where he later taught at the Academy of Fine Arts.
