Tito Conti was a Florentine painter known for finely detailed genre scenes set in the Italian Renaissance and seventeenth century. Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence under Antonio Ciseri, he developed a polished academic technique well suited to the period costume pieces favored by collectors in the late nineteenth century.
