Francois Alfred Delobbe — French, 1835–1920 — French Academic Realism
François Alfred Delobbe was a French academic painter who studied under William-Adolphe Bouguereau and Thomas Couture, two of the dominant figures in nineteenth-century Parisian academic training. He exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon from the 1860s onward and earned official recognition, including a medal at the Salon and the Légion d'honneur.
