Camille Pissarro — French (Danish-French), 1830–1903 — French Impressionism
Pissarro was a founding member of the Impressionist movement and the only artist to exhibit in all eight Impressionist exhibitions between 1874 and 1886. Born on the island of St. Thomas in the Danish West Indies, he settled in France in the 1850s and worked primarily in the rural communes outside Paris, including Pontoise and Éragny.
