Te Baie De Saint Clair
Henri Edmond Cross — French, 1856–1910 — Neo-Impressionism
Henri Edmond Cross was a French painter central to the second generation of Neo-Impressionists, alongside Paul Signac and Théo van Rysselberghe. Born Henri-Edmond Delacroix, he adopted the anglicized surname to avoid confusion with the Romantic master. After early work in a darker naturalist mode, he embraced divisionism in the early 1890s and settled on the Mediterranean coast near Saint-Clair, where the southern light shaped the rest of his career.
