George Dunlop Leslie was an English painter best known for tranquil domestic scenes and depictions of women and children in idyllic rural settings, often along the Thames. The son of the painter Charles Robert Leslie, he trained at the Royal Academy Schools and exhibited at the Academy from 1857 onward, becoming a full Royal Academician in 1876.
