Norman Mills Price — Canadian, 1877–1951 — Golden Age of American Illustration
Norman Mills Price was a Canadian-born illustrator who built his career in New York, working in the tradition of Howard Pyle and the great period of American magazine and book illustration. Trained in Toronto, London, and Paris, he produced historical illustrations distinguished by careful research into period costume, architecture, and material culture. His work appeared in Scribner's, Harper's, Collier's, and The Saturday Evening Post, as well as in numerous illustrated editions of historical fiction.
