Enjolras Delphin — French, 1857–1945 — French Academic Realism
Delphin Enjolras was a French painter known for intimate genre scenes of women in domestic interiors, frequently lit by lamplight, candlelight, or the soft wash of a window. Trained under Jean-Léon Gérôme and Léon Bonnat, he worked primarily in oil, watercolor, and pastel, and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français beginning in the 1890s.
