Phillip Richard Morris was an English painter associated with the Victorian narrative tradition and the St John's Wood Clique milieu. Trained at the Royal Academy Schools, where he won the gold medal in 1858, he subsequently traveled on the Academy's travelling studentship before establishing a London practice.
