Charles Joseph Natoire — French, 1700–1777 — French Rococo
Charles Joseph Natoire was a French painter and decorator whose career intersected with that of François Boucher, his contemporary and rival within the orbit of the Rococo. Trained under Louis Galloche and François Lemoyne, he won the Prix de Rome in 1721 and absorbed the Italian decorative tradition during his years there.
