Gaspare Diziani — Italian, 1689–1767 — Venetian Rococo
Born in Belluno, Diziani trained in Venice under Gregorio Lazzarini and later worked in the studio of Sebastiano Ricci, whose fluent handling and luminous palette shaped his mature style. He spent periods in Munich and Dresden producing theatrical scenery and decorative commissions before returning to Venice, where he became a founding member of the Venetian Academy and served several terms as its president.
