Alice Bailly was a Swiss painter who absorbed Cubism, Futurism, and Fauvism during her years in Paris before the First World War, where she exhibited alongside members of the Section d'Or. Returning to Switzerland in 1914, she developed a personal idiom marked by faceted forms, vivid color, and rhythmic composition.
