Luigi Rossi — Swiss-Italian, 1853–1923 — Lombard Realism
Luigi Rossi was a Swiss-Italian painter active across Lombardy and the Ticino region during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Trained at the Brera Academy in Milan, he developed within the orbit of Lombard realism while absorbing the looser handling and atmospheric concerns that circulated through northern Italian painting in the post-Scapigliatura years.
