Georges de Feure was a French painter, decorative artist, and designer who moved fluidly between Symbolist easel painting and the applied arts that defined the Art Nouveau moment in Paris. Born Georges Joseph van Sluijters to a Dutch father and Belgian mother, he settled in Paris in the late 1880s and built a career that encompassed posters, furniture, ceramics, stained glass, and theatrical design.
