Corrado Giaquinto — Italian, 1703–1766 — Italian Rococo
Corrado Giaquinto was a leading figure of the late Italian Baroque and emerging Rococo, known for luminous large-scale decorative paintings and altarpieces. Born in Molfetta in southern Italy, he trained in Naples under Nicola Maria Rossi and later Francesco Solimena, whose influence shaped his fluent compositions and warm chromatic range.
