Pierre Carrier Belleuse — French, 1851–1932 — French Academic and Salon painting
Pierre Carrier-Belleuse was a French painter and pastellist known for genre scenes, depictions of dancers, and rural subjects. The son of the sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, he trained in Paris under Cabanel and Bouguereau and exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français beginning in the 1870s.
