Francis Luis Mora — American, 1874–1940 — American Impressionism, Ashcan-era realism
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Francis Luis Mora was the son of Catalan sculptor Domingo Mora and emigrated with his family to the United States as a child. He trained at the Boston Museum School under Edmund C. Tarbell and Frank Benson, and later at the Art Students League in New York.
