Lucien Abrams was an American Impressionist painter associated with the Old Lyme art colony in Connecticut, where he settled after extensive study and travel abroad. Born in Lawrence, Kansas, he trained at Princeton, the Art Students League in New York, and in Paris under Jean-Paul Laurens at the Académie Julian, later working in Spain and across Europe before returning to the United States.
