Bridge At Ipswich Theodore Wendel
Theodore Wendel — American, 1859–1932 — American Impressionism
Theodore Wendel was among the first American painters to absorb Impressionism directly at its source, working alongside Theodore Robinson and others in Giverny in the late 1880s under the indirect influence of Monet. Born in Midway, Ohio, he studied in Munich and later in Paris before settling in the Boston area, where he became associated with the circle of New England Impressionists.
