Robert Zünd — Swiss, 1827–1909 — Swiss Realism
Robert Zünd was a Swiss landscape painter associated with the realist tendency that emerged in mid-nineteenth-century Switzerland alongside contemporaries such as Rudolf Koller and Frank Buchser. Trained in Geneva and later in Munich and Paris, he absorbed lessons from the Barbizon painters before settling near Lucerne, where he worked for most of his career.
