Eugène Grasset was a decorative artist and designer central to the emergence of Art Nouveau in late nineteenth-century Paris. Born in Lausanne and trained as an architect in Zurich, he settled in Paris in 1871, where he worked across posters, illustration, stained glass, typography, and furniture design.
