Sergei Vinogradov — Russian, 1869–1938 — Russian Impressionism
Sergei Arsenievich Vinogradov was a Russian painter associated with the Union of Russian Artists, of which he was a founding member in 1903. Trained at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under Vladimir Makovsky and Vasily Polenov, he developed an approach that combined the plein-air concerns of Russian realism with the broken color and luminous palette of Impressionism.
