Annie G. Sykes — American, 1855–1931 — American Impressionism
Annie Gooding Sykes was a Cincinnati-based watercolorist associated with the late nineteenth-century American Impressionist movement. Trained at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and later at the Cowles Art School in Boston, where she studied under Joseph DeCamp, she developed a fluent watercolor practice rooted in direct observation.
